Parents seminar in CCM with well renowned Psychologist Shane Martin. Shane is very well known in educational spheres and is often the leading speaker at national educational conferences. I have been trying for over a year to get him to Wicklow to do one of his parent talks. We have finally managed to get an available date on Dec 12th at 6.30pm. The Talk will last 45mins. As Shane will unlikely be in Wicklow any time soon again, we would like to invite the parents of the local primary schools to the talk also, the Topic being: Our children’s well-being and happiness. Please find attached information related to this event and feel free to share it with the parents of your school community. L Casey, Deputy Principal, Coláiste Chill Mhantáin

PARENTS ASSOCIATION UPDATE

WETNS Makers Craft and Gift Fair November 25th 12- 4pm

Last year’s fair was a great success and we would like to build on this success and earn some valuable funds for our school. WETNS needs your help to make this years fair a success!

Calling all crafters, makers, bakers and entrepreneurs!!! Stalls at the Makers Fair are €30 please contact [email protected] to reserve your stall. If you are a crafter but don’t have enough produce to make a stall, please consider donating some items to the parent craft stall for sale with all proceeds going to WETNS.

Following on from parental feedback we are reverting back to charge of €10 for our crafty childrens stall. The enterprising young people may pocket their profits!!!

We will be having a pocket money toy and book store again this year so please take the opportunity to gather up your old toys and children’s books that have some life left in them and we will collect them in the coming weeks. Likewise, we will be having a second-hand bookstore for all ages so if you need to make room on your shelf for 2019 books please bring in some of your old books for sale at the fair. We will also be having a lucky dip bottle stall so if you have a bottle of any variety from Fizzy Pop to Wine to Perfume and everything in between we’ll accept all donations.

Please leave books, toys and bottles at the elf in the main lobby.

Please let us know if you would like to help out with a kids craft area at the fair [email protected] (Garda vetting essential).

On the day we would greatly appreciate donations of cakes, buns, traybakes, breads, mince pies etc for our cake sale and refreshments area.

WETNS Lions Club Table quiz Wednesday 28th November 8.30pm The Mariner

Come and support WETNS and have a fun night out meeting other parents! Tables of 4 are €40. Form your own team or show up on the night and we can team you up. If you want to be teamed up in advance email [email protected] . The Lions Club series of table quizzes in Wicklow Town are fundraisers run by the Lions Club on behalf of charities (of which our school is one). We need to fill as many tables as possible as the funding for our school from the table quizzes is proportional to tables sold. Being organised by the Lions Club, we get to put the feet up and have a fun evening out while helping WETNS. If you have a bottle or unopened unwanted gift please bring these with you for the raffle on the night.
