All parents are by default members of the Parent Association (PA). There are many areas in our school where parents get involved (sports, fundraising, classroom assistance, garden, etc.). To allow for easy communication between the PA and parents we would therefore ask you to provide your mobile phone number and consent to be contacted by the PA Committee via parent class representatives and/or other parents from your child’s class. It is often very handy to have contact details for other parents when organising birthday parties, school collections, play dates or other social events. If consent is given for PA contact, parent class representatives will keep you informed of PA run activities and events throughout the school year and you can then opt to become involved or not as you choose. Only one registration per family need be completed. You may add further children in the future as they join the school.
The reason we require this registration is to comply with the Data Protection Act. Although the school already holds your contact information, this information can only be used for direct school purposes. The PA Committee needs your explicit consent to use your contact information for PA purposes. The information will be stored on a secure site.
