6th class graduated on the 29th June and it was a fantastic celebration of their time here with us in WETNS. The event began with a procession of all of the children behind the banner of their future secondary schools. We then had performances from the class which were a mixture of poetry, dance, singing, violin playing and speeches. They are such a talented group of children and the whole event flowed perfectly with Hugh as M.C. The Laura award was presented to Donardas from Edele’s class and Michael from Eamonn’s. We then had the Brendan award and it was presented to Siofradh from Eamonn’s and Alex from Edele’s. Laura’s parents and Brendan’s wife were there to present the awards to the children.
We then had the final roll call for 6th and one last song. After the celebration in the hall the class went back upstairs where they received their year books and certificates. We wish our 6th class all the best as they move on to the next exciting stage of their lives. We will miss them.
