The minutes of the last meeting were ratified by the Board.
Each board member signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Membership of the School Board of Management.
Finance
HSE Lottery Grant is being applied for. For €10,000 for sensory equipment and equipment to support children with additional needs.
Ongoing review of school policies
Two policies were amended
- Job Sharing and Career Break Policy
- Attendance Policy
Premises
Extension the DES wants us to reduce the footprint, we are currently liaising with the architect. Pre planning for Wicklow Coco highlighted the need for screening on the Rocky Road side of the extension.
Solar Panel funding is currently being sought.
PTA
The PTA will have their AGM on February 21st.
The winter fair and raffle was very successful and raised €€5380.01. The calendar raised €3000. The PTA are holding a bake sale on February 14th and will also have donation boxes for Purple House on the day. The PTA are looking over the DES document Keeping Childhood Smartphone Free. The PTA are looking intro organising CPR training through the Irish Heart Foundation.
After School Activities
Sherpa kids continue to rent part of the building for aftercare.
Rainbows – We are now a centre for Rainbows. Eamonn is the director and Ola is completing training.
E.T Report
AGM is coming up shortly. The board will decide ifwe want to put any motions forward.
AOB
Cleaners – The cleaner’s contract will be coming to an end shortly. A position of Housekeeper has been advertised and interviews to take place shortly.
School Closure on March 20th for the New Primary Maths Curriculum. Next½ in½ out day to be on May 7th.
