BOM Meeting, Thursday 5th December 2024
Present — Daniel Vickers, Sinéad Watson, Michelle Adebesi, Avril Kilfeather, Ian Maher, Frederique Van Buuren and Jen Keane
The minutes of the last meeting were ratified by the Board.
Correspondence/Premises
A DES Senior Architect was sent out to the school on Friday 22 nd November. An architect from a private firm was on site on Tuesday 3 rd December
Principal’s report
Bi Cinéalta Training will be a big focus for 2025-2026 school year. Staff training will take place in February 2025.
Finance
The caretaker post has been advertised.
The accounts for last year have been submitted to the accountants.
A STEM & Arts Grant of €6,000 has been received.
Ongoing review of school policies
Each member of the Board was given a copy of the following policies to read and review for ratification in January:
- Anti-Bullying Policy
- Code of Positive Behaviour
- Staff Absences Policy
- Wicklow ETNS Swimming Policy
For amendment:
- The Healthy Eating Policy was amended to reflect the fact that children now bring their waste from hot school lunches home rather then them being disposed of in school compost.
Report to School Community
PTA update
Raffle tickets will be sold during the performances from Monday 15th December.
The school calendar is selling well.
The Student Council are having a Christmas Jumper Coffee Morning for Wicklow Cancer Support on Thursday 19th December
E.T report
It will be on January’s agenda to compose a motion for the AGM.
