Minutes of BOM Meeting, Tuesday September 20th 2016
Present – Robert Greene, Michelle Adebisi, Eamonn O’Hanrahan, Donna Connolly, Kenia Puig Planella, Jerry O’Neill, Koryne Smyth Apologies Sinéad Watson
The Board expressed its condolences on hearing the sad news of the death of Sinéad’s father.

There is an extensive snag list, although many of these are minor items.

The main issue involves the rainwater harvesting system. There would appear to be a leak in the outside tanks

The Board will contact Sammon and insist that the issue is resolved before the end of the week.

The Board will look for a member of the school community to become a “Mobility management co-ordinator.” This role will help encourage traffic management in the school, such as car-pooling, walking to school etc.

There was an issue with the sequencing of lights on Rocky Road. The lights were changing too quickly and were a health and safety issue.
The council have resequenced the lights so that there is a 5 second delay on the crossing. This information will be communicated through the school newsletter.

Road signs – The builders have fulfilled their basic requirements for road signage around the school. The Board agreed that it was necessary to work with the council for more signage and traffic calming measures.

Parking for school buses. The possibility of changing where the school buses park was discussed. It was agreed that no changes should happen until the school has had chance to fully settle in to the new premises.

Each member of the Board spoke at length about how they believed the move to the new premises could impact the culture and ethos of the school.

Date of next meeting Tuesday 11th October 2016
