May has been a busy month in Junior Infants, the children are learning all about Minibeasts.

From minibeast hunts and patterned snails to plasticine spiders there are no shortage of creepy crawlies in and outside the classroom.

We are enjoying Mini beast stories ‘The snail and the whale’ and ‘Walters Wonderful Web’.

There is great enthusiasm for reading as the children progress through their readers and continue to revise all 42 sounds. Please continue to practise the sounds along with the readers for homework.

In maths the children are working hard at partitioning and addition and in Irish the children are revising Eadaí / Clothes and Mé fein / Myself.

The children are in serious training for active week which is approaching in June. I think we could have some future Olympians in the class.
