In Aistear this week we had a number of stations exploring the theme of Toys. We had a Toy shop where were the children took turns being a shop manager, stock taker, customer and shop assistant. We had a writing station where the children made cards for their favourite toys. There was a marble run station, a junk art station where the children made a toy and finally with Eileen the children painted and talked about their toys.
In English we are still revising our sounds everyday and we also have introduced the tricky words ‘I’, ‘the’ and ‘have’.
In Maths we are continuing to learn about 2d shapes and next week will introduce the number 1.
In Gailege we are learning about ‘bréagáin’ (Toys).
In Learn Together we are going to introduce the festival of Hannukah and begin working on our end of term performance which we are very excited about.
Finally, this week we were delighted to have a special delivery from our classroom fairy. She kindly recycled our old crayons that were piling up in the press into magical dinosaurs, unicorns and stars for the children.
