Over the last two weeks the theme in Junior Infants has been Harvest Time and Autumn. During the first week our Aistear stations included, the farm shop, small world life on the farm, making 2D shape scarecrows and planting daffodils blubs.
The second week focused on autumn and our stations included, making hedgehog hibernation homes, using clay to make hedgehogs and making salt dough pumpkins.
The children enjoyed learning the songs, The Dingle Dangle Scarecrow, Harvest Time and Autumn Leaves. Hilly Billy Hedgehog was our poem during the second week.
Past pupil, Sophie Power spent last week in class as part of her transition year work experience. Sophie is a keen guitar player, she brought her guitar in for our music lesson. This was definitely a highlight during the week.
