This week we learned about ‘Harvest Time’ on the farm. Our Aistear stations included a farmer’s market, planting seeds, potato painting and the farm yard. The farmers market was a clear favourite as children ordered vegetables from the farmer, set up the market and played shop. We sang ‘The Dingle Dangle Scarecrow’ and read the story of ‘The Little Red Hen’.

On Friday we worked with clay and made hedgehogs in preparation for next week’s Aistear theme ‘Autumn Time’ while in Gaeilge we will focus on Oíche Shamhna (Halloween)

The children continue their reading journey by learning a new sound every day, please continue to practise at home. Kate.
