The first writing genre that we are practicing this year is narrative writing. In preparation for our writing we looked at ways of making sentences more interesting and we also explored different descriptions and adjectives we could use to help our readers visualise our main characters.
We have a display in the classroom of all our characters and words to describe them. The writing has been going on for a week now and some people who have completed have read their stories to the class. The next step is to publish our writing with an illustration and display it the corridor outside our room for everyone to see.
