PTA Notes

Spraoi na Samhna Creepy Costume Parade and Monster Bake sale                                                                                                                     Thank you to all the pupils, parents and staff who got into the spirit of Spraoi na Samhna and spooked it up for the day and also for all the scrumptious baking for the Monster Bake Sale.  A little over €700 was raised for playground equipment.  Well done, everyone!  If you have a tray/tin/container to be collected these are in room G20 (beside first front entrance from Rocky Road end of the building) where the bake sale was held.  Kindly collect asap as that room is used for a number of different activities and we need to clear down the counters.  Many thanks.

Lions Club Quiz

A great turnout for the Lions Club Quiz in Ernie’s Bar last Wednesday, 2 November.  Thank you so much to all who made the effort to turn out and support this event.  Lions Club run quizzes every Wednesday in various locations around Wicklow and all groups will be involved in the grand final in March 2017.

WETNS NA NOLLAIG CHRISTMAS FAIR 2016 – SUNDAY, 11th DECEMBER from 12 – 5 pm.

The WETNS na Nollaig Christmas Fair will take place in the school hall on Sunday, 11th December from 12 – 5 pm.  We will be having a full craft and artisan food fair this year along with the traditional school fair items such as carol singing, mulled wine and mince pies, craft activities for the children, grand raffle, etc.  The Fair is open to parents, staff, pupils, family/friends and the general public to take a stall.  If you run a children’s craft activity you are welcome to take a space also.  There is a scale of charges for stalls (details on booking form).  You can share a stall with another parent if you wish, i.e. one table space.  Pass the word to any crafters or artisan (handmade) food producers you know.  Booking form can be obtained from the school office or email Yvonne on [email protected].  (Apologies, PTA mailbox is still out of action at present.)

A SMALL COMMITTEE OF HELPERS (4 or 5 people) REQUIRED TO ORGANISE THE FAIR.    There  is likely to be a lot of interest from the townspeople as this is our first Fair in our new building and we will be charging stallholders for spaces so we need to make sure the Fair is as professionally organised as possible.    If you can help out either in advance or on the day please contact Yvonne 089 418 5867 or [email protected].
