Dear Parents/Guardians,                                                                  14th December 2016

School Closes for Christmas Holidays next Thursday 22nd December at 12.30pm

And we will re-open on Monday 09th January 2017

Christmas Gifts

The staff of the school wish to communicate with the parents & families of the school about the giving of gifts to us this festive season. Whilst we fully appreciate the sincerity of the giving of presents we feel it is not necessary for families to put themselves under any pressure to purchase gifts for WETNS staff. We are always delighted to receive a handmade card, piece of artwork, poem & we really love the effort involved in this. We hope you understand the spirit in which this request is made. Thanks as always, for your on-going support.

‘Annie’ In Dominican Convent                                                                                                       Brian Cornyn and Edele Harty’s 6th Classes are going to see ‘Annie’ tomorrow at the Dominican Convent, during school time. We do not have a siblings’ policy for enrolments so if you do have any other children that you hope can join our school in future year, you need to fill in a pre-enrolment form for them as soon as possible.

Homework Club                                                                                                                  Just a reminder that Homework Club will be finishing this Thursday 15th December. PTA NOTES

  1. WETNS na Nollaig Christmas Fair – Céad Míle Buíochas Libh! Well Fair play to ye! A huge thank you to all parents & children who made the Christmas Fair a wonderful afternoon. Thank you to all those who took a stall and brought along their handcrafted and original work (whether food or craft items) and most especially to our junior stallholders (both current and past pupils).  So many visitors on the day and since have been saying how exceptional it was to see our wonderful little entrepreneurs setting up their stall and doing such a professional job.                                                                                                    Thanks to those who gave of their time to run the activities for the children. Thank you also to all those who visited the Fair, or who bought raffle tickets or donated raffle prizes and to Maeve and her crew for sourcing prizes and running the raffle to such an exceptional standard.                                                                                                                         Thanks to our beverage people for mulled wine and coffee, to the Sweet Fairy (!) with Snowman Poop & Reindeer Noses.
