The minutes of the last meeting were ratified by the Board.

Finance

The school received a grant of €400 from Wicklow County Council for trees. The plan is to purchase bare root trees to be planted in the top field with a view to helping the drainage issues on the field.

Ongoing review of school policies

Three policies were discussed and ratified

• Medical and Administration of Medication Policy
• Yard and Supervision Policy
• Healthy Eating Policy

The Medical and Administration of Medication Policy and Healthy Eating Policy were sent to the school community for review and consultation alongside the PTA. All responses have been reviewed by the board to date. The deadline for responses is Friday 22^nd March and any further responses will be reviewed and considered at the next meeting.

Premises

Solar Panel application was submitted

The damage from the leaks caused by the snow to the ASD area was discussed. Following on from these severe leaks a plumber, electrician, engineer and roofer were all contacted and provided inspections for the school. Staff have quickly relocated to areas around the building in order to best accommodate all learners in the school.

The emergency works section within the Department of Education has been notified.

Report to School Community

The board acknowledges the incredible work done by all staff within the school during this time.

PTA

The PTA will have a raffle on the day of the food fair during culture week and will be hosting a quiz on May 8^th.

After School Activities

The lack of clubs and after school activities was brought up. The board reflected that prior to covid there was a wide range of activities offered within the school and the school has been trying to reinstate some of these. This has been impossible as it is very difficult to get a person to be the coordinator of After School Activities. It was decided that now was not the time to progress with after school activities due to the current space issues within the school but this is something that will be revisited at a more suitable time.
