Wicklow Educate Together National School Board of Management Meeting Thursday 12^th December 2019 Report to the school community

Present –Graham Byrne, Caoimhe Doyle, Ciaran Buckley, Eamonn O’Hanrahan, Michelle Adebisi, Anthony O’Rourke, Brian Fitzsimons

Graham formally welcomed Caoimhe Doyle and Ciaran Buckley to the Board.

Brian Fitzsimons and Graham O’Rourke were proposed as Community reps for the Board by Graham and seconded by Michelle. The Board formally welcomed Graham and Brian as the Community representatives for the school Board.

Correspondence

The Board received a letter regarding parking on the Rocky Road outside the school. Whilst commending the current parking arrangements, there was a request that the school send a letter to parents about dangerous parking on both sides of the road. Although this is outside the school premises, the Board agreed that a reminder about safe parking could be added to the newsletter. Graham will discuss with Sinead.

School Policies

The following amendment will be made to the enrolment policy.

Admissions Junior Infants 2024

Please note the following important information regarding admissions for Junior Infants 2024.

Due to the planned commencement of the Education (Admission to Schools) Act, 2018, Wicklow Educate Together National School will not accept pre-enrolment application forms for September 2024. A new Admission Policy will be approved with an annual admissions process for this intake group.
