Wicklow Educate Together NS – Plan for the Week Ahead

Dear school community

Please see below our plan for the week ahead to help keep you informed of what is happening in our school.

Important Dates:

Girls GAA Wicklow Shield – Thursday 7^th March

Our Girls from 5th/6^th classes will be taking part in the Girls GAA Wicklow Shield in Bray Emmets for the 1^st time in our history next Thursday. Good luck to all the girls.

World Book Day – Friday 8^th March

Dear school community, we are looking forward to celebrating World Book Day 2024 on the 8th of March in school. We would like to invite all students to dress up as their favourite character from their favourite book, as a fundraiser to further develop our classroom libraries. If all students could bring in 2 euro each on the day. All donations would be greatly welcomed.

Thank you for your time and we are looking forward to seeing some famous literary characters coming to life.

Wednesday 20^th March – school will be closed for pupils.  Staff will receive training in the revised Primary Maths Curriculum.

County Photos – school photos will take place on Wednesday 10^th April.

Aladdin App – please continue to update the Aladdin app with all absence information.  Please see attached the school’s communication guide.

Lost Property – please see attached a list of lost property here at the school.  Please email [email protected] if you recognise any of the items.  The item will then be returned.

Monday 4^th March

5^th Class Green visit to CEART.  A reminder to log into Aladdin to approve the consent request.

Girls GAA Wicklow Shield – our Girls from 5th/6^th will be taking part in the Girls GAA Wicklow Shield in Bray Emmets for the 1^st time in our history today. Good luck to all the girls.

5^th class swimming during the school day. Reminder to all 5th class parents to ensure children bring some extra lunch on Thursdays as the children are always hungry after swimming.
