The Parent Association AGM is on, next Thursday, Thursday 26th of January, 7.15pm in the school hall. We will start with a cup of tea at 7.15.
Behaviour Policy

WETNS Extra-Curricular Activities Programme
We are delighted to confirm our new Extra-Curricular Activities programme will start the week beginning Mon 30th Jan. Term 1 will run from Mon 30th Jan to Thur 6th Apr with a break for the Feb midterm. Registration forms and a timetable of activities will be sent home next week. Registration for all the activities will take place on Fri 27th Jan. You can register and pay for the classes of your choice from drop off at 9am and I will be available throughout the day as well as at pick up times and from 7-8pm Friday evening for those who cannot attend during school hours. Our programme will include some of the great classes held previously in Marine House, together with some new classes we also hope you will enjoy. Details of some of our classes below, with more to come in next week’s newsletter.
Anyone 4 Science 1.30 – 2.20 AND 2.30 -3.30 www.anyone4science.com
Anyone 4 Science is an educational organisation providing hands-on science and engineering activities for primary school children. They take science subjects normally taught at third level and present them at primary school level through age appropriate experiments. Term one will focus on investigating, techniques used in CSI and engineering.
Fee €56.00 for 8 week term (Mon).
Playball 1.30 – 2.20 AND 2.30 -3.30 www.playballbray.ie
Our aim at Playball is to introduce your child to sport in a positive, fun and non-intimidating way. The program is progressive in nature and recognises the different stages of development in young children. This means that your child will be introduced to basic movement and ball skills in the initial stages of the program and will progress to formalized and structured sports coaching in the latter stages of Playball. Playball also teaches the basic skills of 8 different sports which means that children can realise at an early stage which sport they like and are good at.
Fee €55.00 for 9 week term (Tues).
Irish Dancing 1.30 – 2.20 AND 2.30 -3.30 The Dowling School of Irish Dancing
A fun, energetic class, catering for all ages and abilities. Irish Dancing is the quick and precise movements of the feet to traditional Irish music. It provides physical benefits such as increased stamina, core strength and general overall fitness. Irish dancing also improves balance, posture, co-ordination and memory building, all while having fun at the same time.

Soccer – Joe Kirwan 2.30 – 3.30 ONLY 3rd to 6th Class
Joe will run soccer classes every Monday for our 3rd to 6th class pupils.
Fee €56.00 for 8 week term (Mon).
Athletics – Eithne Walsh 1.30 – 2.20 AND 2.30 -3.30
Athletics will be coached by Eithne Walsh a Level 2 AAI Coach with 7 years’ experience coaching with Inbhear Dee Athletics Club. The sessions will focus on the fundamental movement skills around running, throwing and jumping in a fun environment. These 3 skills are the basis for all sports and will result in stronger muscles and bones, more endurance and greater flexibility and strength. It will enhance the child’s confidence in their physical body and its capabilities. These can be lacking in this generation due to the massive changes in lifestyle that have occurred over the last 20 years. “The first 12 years have so much to do with how the next 80 turn out” – lay the foundations for a healthy life now! Fee €63.00 for 9 week term (Wed)
