Dear school community,

As we head towards our midterm break, I would like to thank all within our school community for your support during the first few months of the school year. It has been an extremely busy start with many positive things taking place within our school which you can find out more about in our October newsletter prepared by Leanne, staff & children, see text link sent separately.

We wish to thank Naoise Dwyer in her role as Support Teacher in the Senior Classes this term and wish Naoise well as she heads away on some travels, we look forward to her return next school year. We will be welcoming back Sylvie Fogarty who will replace Naoise during her absence.

I would like to extend special thanks to the outgoing PTA who made very positive contributions to the life of the school during their term. The amount raised by the committee over the last couple of years was €8655 and we are delighted to be able to utilise these funds to improve cycle & walking access for pupils to the school, purchase of playground equipment for yard times, improvements to our overall yard space and investment in some outdoor physical play equipment for our Autism Classes.

Following on from the AGM of the PTA a new committee is now in place and have some lovely plans for the year ahead, please see separate email from Wendy Doyle (Chair) and Stephanie (Secretary).

Wishing you all a fabulous long weekend & midterm break

Sinead
