Wicklow Educate Together NS – Plan for the Week Ahead
Dear school community
Please see below our plan for the week ahead to help keep you informed of
what is happening in our school.
Important Dates:
School closed for Bank Holiday Monday 5th February. Mid-term break – school
is closed Thursday and Friday 15th & 16th February.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Parent’s Coffee Morning last Friday
12th January. Please see attached the minutes of that meeting.
Thank you so much to all the parents and grandparents who came along to the
Garden Meeting. The next meeting will be held on Friday 9th February at 9am.
All welcome.
Coffee Morning & Bake Sale – The PTA committee will be hosting a coffee
morning and bake sale on Wednesday 14th of February. This Valentine’s Day
themed event will begin with a coffee morning for parents/guardians at 9am
and will be followed by a bake sale where the students can bring in €2 and will
be allowed to pick some treats. We would greatly appreciate if any budding
bakers could bake something for the bake sale. These contributions can be
brought to the main hall before 9am on the day.
PTA AGM – The PTA AGM will take place on Wednesday 21st of February at
7.30pm in the main hall. The AGM is for all members of the PTA and will
include updates on activities of the PTA committee throughout the year, such
as the winter fair, etc.
Each parent and guardian of children attending Wicklow Educate Together N.S.
are a part of the PTA and coming to the AGM is a great opportunity to hear
more about what is going on within the school and opportunities to get
involved. Nominations to join the PTA committee will be accepted until Friday
9th of February. A parent or guardian can nominate themselves by emailing
[email protected].
Sherpa Kids February Mid Term Camp – Sherpa Kids will hold a February midterm camp here at the school on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th February.
Bookings are now open and all parents can book their child in.
To ensure we can keep as many children as possible active and engaged this
upcoming holiday period, we’d like your assistance in promoting February MidTerm to your families through your preferred communication methods. (Please
see attached parent E-letter and leaflet).
Irish Blood Transfusion Service Clinic – The Irish Blood Transfusion Service
clinic will take place here at the school on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th
January from 5pm – 8.30pm. Please contact 1800 731 137 to book an
appointment. See flyer attached.
County Photos – will be at the school on Wednesday April 10th to take photos
of pupils.
School Calendars – we have a small number of school calendars which can be
purchased from the school office.
Peace Proms – reminder to all 3rd class parents to see the payment request
sent this week for the Peace Proms Bus.

5th class swimming during the school day. Reminder to all 5th class parents to
ensure children bring some extra lunch on Thursdays as the children are always
hungry after swimming.
