In preparation for this week’s Aistear the junior infants went on a tour around the school to introduce them to the people and places that make our school so special.
We went to visit Alma and Lisa in the front office and Sinead, the principal. We met teachers, SNA’s and students from different classrooms, we explored school spaces like the sensory room, the PE hall, the school garden and the staffroom!
In Aistear this week we had four very different stations. We designed and drew playground spaces on large reams of paper, role played being teachers, pupils and the secretary of a school, in small world we built schools with bricks and in arts and crafts we made our own play dough and used it to create our own schools and playgrounds. I’d like to say a big thank you to Cadhla and Anya from 6th class who helped us make our play dough. We couldn’t have done it without them.
