PARENTS COFFEE MORNING – We would like to invite all parents to an end of year coffee morning at 9am in the school hall this Friday morning June 23rd. Refreshments will be served. We will be sharing some updates with you, as well as providing you with an opportunity to find out more about parental involvement within the school, and how you can get involved next school year.

End of Year school reports will be released to parents this Wednesday 21 June. You can also view your child’s standardised test results in Reading, Maths & Spelling once reports are released. A text will be sent to parents on Wednesday to let you know they have been released. In the meantime please check that you can access your child’s Aladdin profile. Many thanks
PTA Cookbook – The school cookbook to which the students, families and staff kindly contributed is ready for purchase. Alot of hard work has gone into the cookbook, a big thank you to everyone who contributed. We hope you enjoy all the beautiful recipes from the many different cultures we celebrate in WETNS.

Cost per cookbook is:
1 cookbook for €12.00
2 cookbooks for €20.00
3 cookbooks for €25.00

SWIMMING CHANGE: Due to school tours taking place, 3rd and 4th class are swapping their swimming days this week. Wednesday: 3rd class swimming during the school day. Reminder to parents to send in some extra lunch on Wednesdays as the children are always hungry after swimming
WOW – walk, scoot, cycle, take the bus or carpool to/from school on Wednesdays. Congratulations to our Golden Boot winners this week – Naoise’s 4th class and Carla’s 1st class.
THURSDAY 22ND JUNE
3rd class school tour. Greenan Maze
4th class swimming during the school day. Reminder to 4th class parents to send in some extra lunch as the children are always hungry after swimming.
FRIDAY 23RD JUNE
5th class school tour, Fort Lucan.
6th class Marine House visit.
GENERAL REMINDERS
Book Rental Books –As we begin preparations for school year 2023/2024, we would ask you that you please return all book rental books to the school by Friday 23rd June.
SUN-SCREEN: Given the beautiful weather, please ensure to apply sun screen to the children before they come to school each day and that they have plenty of water to drink during the day.
LOST PROPERTY: Please ensure to check the lost property attachment on Aladdin and the rail of lost property which will be outside the school each day by the bike shelter.
