Dear school community

Please see below our plan for the week ahead to help keep you informed of what is happening in our school.

Important Dates: October mid-term Monday 30th October – Friday 3rd November.

Enrolments  2024/2025 – The admission notice for school year 2024/2025 is now available to view on our school website. The school will commence accepting applications for admission on Monday 23rd October and will cease accepting application for admission on Monday 20th November at 2pm. See attached.

School Calendar 2024 Back by popular demand our own school calendar is being rolled out by the PTA and all classes will have their photograph in the calendar, photographs will be taken in school on Tuesday next 17th October. Any child not able to be in the photo on the day will be included on the month of their class. We invite the children to wear the following colours next Tuesday 17th October. It’s best not to wear hats/anything covering faces!  Many thanks

Junior Infants Blue-Blue

Junior Infants Green-Green

Senior Infants All-Red

First Class All-Yellow

Second Class All-Purple

3rd Class All-Green & Yellow (school colours)

4th Class All -Rainbow

5th Class All-White

6th Class All-Black (Graduation)

Board of Management Parent Elections The term of office for the current BoM is coming to an end and a nomination process and election of a mother and a father will commence shortly, a letter will issue next week to each family through the school bags, please keep an eye out for this.

Friday 27th October is an ordinary school day (not an early closure)

Dress Up The children are invited to dress up if they wish and bring €2 on the day and a small treat (not for sharing) with their lunch. Dressing up is optional and if some children are not comfortable dressing up, they can wear their normal clothes to school on the day. We ask that costumes are practical and easy for your child to manage throughout the school day-for the bathroom, the stairs, the yard, sitting in a classroom-for that reason high heels and inflatable costumes are not allowed. No scary costumes, props, weapons or masks please. Our experience is that some children find clown costumes extremely scary. The emphasis is on fun not frightening. All proceeds from dress up will be used to purchase classroom board games.
